What is Voxbrief?
Voxbrief is an iOS app that gives you deep, structured audio summaries of nonfiction books. Each brief has an intro, 3–5 key ideas, a conclusion, actionable takeaways, and a closing question to spark your own thinking.
How is Voxbrief different from Blinkist and other book summary apps?
Most apps offer a fixed catalog and superficial skims. VoxBrief offers an unlimited scope via our Request feature (if we don't have it, we make it) and focuses on active learning through synced text and structured outlines, ensuring you actually understand the concepts.
Can I listen for free before paying?
Yes. There is a regularly updated Free section with full Voxbriefs you can listen to without paying. You can also listen to the first 3 minutes—audio and text—of every paid book.
What is the wish list and how fast do new books appear?
If you can't find a book, you can add it to your wish list. We prioritize requested titles and work to publish a Voxbrief as quickly as possible—often as soon as the next day—and notify you when it's ready.
How do synced text and highlights help me learn?
While you listen, the text highlights in real time, so you can see exactly which part of the explanation you are on. You can jump to specific sections—like a key idea, the conclusion, or the actionable takeaways—and quickly reread what matters.
